About the LCCPA

The Lake County Chiefs of Police Association was founded to promote, encourage and advance the professional development of Chiefs of Police and senior law enforcement management personnel throughout Lake County, Illinois.

The LCCPA is a county-wide law enforcement administrators association and, as such, it is concerned on a county-wide basis with all issues involving the criminal justice system. We believe that local chiefs of police possess a thorough knowledge of the law enforcement needs within the county.

Through an organization such as the LCCPA, issues affecting the criminal justice system can be addressed both with local elected officials and the state legislature. Decades after its founding, the LCCPA actively seeks to promote the professional practice of law enforcement administration, to represent the membership and the profession on issues of concern, and to encourage high ethical standards of conduct among law enforcement leaders and administrators.

The LCCPA conducts monthly meetings where members share information, receive presentations from a variety of internal committees and external organizations, and network for the benefit of all agencies represented.
